Hi,

I just bought a WinTV PVR150, and I followed the instructions for Ubuntu
on the ivtvdriver website (using Ubuntu Breezy). Everything seemed to
work fine.

THe problem is that my tuner remains unrecognized. Through VLC, I used
to have static, and somehow, I managed to change the channel once. I
can see that one channel, and the sound is fine. I can also record
(cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg) and that is fine too (again, for that one
channel). I can adjust settings (height, width, bitrate, etc) through
ivtvctl. ivtv-tune *says* that I have changed channels when trying to
do so, but with VLC/Mplayer, it is always the same channel. I'm
baffled.

Here's my dmesg output.

Here's my lspci -v for the card.

0000:01:07.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc

I tried changing the firmware HcwMakoA.ROM from the Ubuntu guide on
ivtvdriver.org for the one that came on my CD (it only has HcwMakoB.ROM
and HcwMakoC.ROM, so I tried C), but that didn't make a difference
either.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Vince
