I think I misunderstood something. It should be fixed in ivtv-0.7.0. It 
is not fixed in ivtv-0.8 since I intend to get the remotes working with 
the ir-kbd-i2c.c stuff. Besides, the new I2C_HW_B_CX2341X i2c adapter 
ID will stay in this version since it is a good idea anyway and the 
lirc guys shouldn't test on BT848. Instead, they should probably test 
against the I2C_ADAP_CLASS_TV_ANALOG class ID.

For older versions (ivtv-0.6.x and older) I am not aware of any 
problems.
