Hi,

If the ABI hasn't changed, perhaps the check routine has.

Current:
xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.0.99.901-6

To be precise xorg-x11-server-Xorg-1.0.99.901-6.x86_64.rpm from
redhat-development, or whatever it is called currently.

(I need the development/testing as there is no point coding on top of
yesterdays code [ this from someone with a garage full of iron you
program by toggling switches :) ] - unfortunately my only 64-bit pc box
is both my development server and the wife's 24/7 multimedia server)

--- It doesn't rain, but it pours - yum crashed out (nice trace:)
because sqllight database locked. Downloaded your suggested version by
hand - and rpm hangs with upgrade.

[sorry, the rest has little to do with ivtv]

Both proggies are -independently- hanging on a FUTEX_WAIT
for /var/lib/rpm/Packages which only they possessed - I had killed all
futex's on /var/lib/rpm/Packages before testing. (Interestingly, yum
just hangs permanently under strace instead of crashing.).

I have a 30 minute window at 03.10 to try out the microshit solution, as
I am worried that this could be a consequence of the 2.6.16-1.2096_FC5
kernel recently trashing both my root fs mirrors during the 4th reboot
trying to discover why it only found the onboard forcedeth controller on
alternate boots - though I'd hoped it was just the magic that was
trashed, since fsck.ext3 got it straight back up.

If the futex thingy is a known problem with a known solution I'd love to
hear it, otherwise tomorrow I'll try out your suggested version. (or
not:)
