sorry for being unclear.

By 'correct time' i mean what a human understands as 'time',
for example that it is "13. of June 2006, 01:30".

My PCs system clock that i use to capture MPEGs at a certain time
is very inaccurate.

On some channels in "video text" there are clocks available that
tell me what date and time it is at the moment. I think in some
other signals there is also a time encoded.

Is it possible to somehow get that time and adjust the PCs system
clock?

If it is not possible i have to buy a DCF-77 receiver (i'm in europe)
and tell NTPD to use this one as a time source. A DCF-77 receiver
can be used as a source for NTPD. It receives data on 77 kHz and
can reconstruct a very exact date/time from that.

I did not think of receiving the VBI, i think this one is not very
exact.

Best regards,
Torsten.
