2.6.17 was just released. Since I expect to be quite busy the next few
days the ivtv-0.7.0 release will be delayed until next weekend. At the
same time I'll probably also release 0.4.6 and 0.6.3. So don't upgrade
to 2.6.17 until ivtv-0.7.0 is released.
This evening I also finalized my work on the new MPEG API and asked the
v4l-dvb maintainer to pull it from my repository. This API will go into
2.6.18 and replaces the ivtv-private ioctls and the experimental (and
flawed) VIDIOC_G/S_MPEGCOMP ioctls. I hope to finish the documentation
on this API in 1-2 weeks.
I'm glad this API is finally done, this is a major milestone.
