Re: [ivtv-devel] oops on "modprobe ivtv"

I got my CVS version ivtv-0.7.1 working on Gentoo 2.6.17-r2 by doing the following modifications. I am not sure why it made a difference though.

1. emerge --unmerge v4l-dvb-hg
2. verified that the following modules were compiled as modules in the current kernel:
   cx25840
   wm8775
