Here is an update on the above issue. I had 2 PVR 500 and one PVR 250. 
The above error was on the pvr250, so I
updated Myth to SVN and then am not recording on the PVR 250 ( neither 
vbi , nor video) and now the
system seems to be stable with 4 VBI captures and 4 Video captures via 
Myth.
