To get rid of the Pinnacle related bttv stuff, I compiled a new kernel (2.6.10-rc3) without bttv drivers. Then I realized that I needed the tuner module, so I downloaded the latest bttv snapshot and compiled it but did no install. After that I manualy copied the tuner.ko to /lib/modules/2.6.10-rc3/extra. That directory has the following modules in it: ivtv.ko msp3400.ko saa7115.ko saa7127.ko tuner.ko tveeprom.ko lsmod output: Module Size Used by vmnet 26160 2 vmmon 44512 0 w83627hf 26656 0 i2c_sensor 3200 1 w83627hf i2c_isa 2048 0 i2c_i801 7692 0 msp3400 26936 0 saa7127 12060 0 saa7115 12184 0 tuner 20900 0 tveeprom 11188 0 ivtv 809412 0 i2c_algo_bit 9096 1 ivtv i2c_core 18432 10 w83627hf,i2c_sensor,i2c_isa,i2c_i801,msp3400,saa7127,saa7115,tuner,tveeprom,i2c_algo_bit videodev 7680 1 ivtv ide_scsi 13956 0 agpgart 28076 0 ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
