I had to rebuild my myth box and decided to do it with fc3. I was having
the same problems as you and here is what fixed it for me. I had the
following files at
/lib/modules/2.6.10-1.737_FC3/updates/drivers/media/video:

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 29492 Jan 17 18:46 msp3400.ko
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 27120 Jan 16 08:56 msp3400-ivtv.ko
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 13016 Jan 17 18:46 tveeprom.ko
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 15412 Jan 16 08:56 tveeprom-ivtv.ko

For the tuner problem I rename tveeprom.ko to tveeprom.ko.orig and
renamed tveeprom-ivtv.ko to tveeprom.ko.

Then I was left with the sound problem, which is related to msp3400.ko.
I did the same renames with that, rmmod'ed and modprobe'd everything and
it's not working.

Maybe it will work for you.
