Hey, which tuner do you have?

Might be a good time to share what I did, I have the following in syslog. Tuner
is really a PVR150 1051, I use the
following settings for my cards to work with ivtv-0.3.2b and kernel 2.6.10 with
debian patches:

insmod tveeprom.ko
modprobe videodev
insmod cx25840.ko i2c_enable=1 debug=1
insmod tuner.ko pal=G type=52 debug=1
insmod wm8775.ko mixer_input=2 debug=1
insmod ivtv.ko ivtv_std=2 tuner=52 tda9887=0 ivtv_debug=0

Jan 22 20:50:07 lekburk kernel: tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 26054, rev = C197,
serial# = 7721017
Jan 22 20:50:07 lekburk kernel: tveeprom: tuner = <unknown> (idx = 97, type = 4)
Jan 22 20:50:07 lekburk kernel: tveeprom: tuner fmt = PAL(D/K) (eeprom = 0x44,
v4l2 = 0x00000e07)
Jan 22 20:50:07 lekburk kernel: tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3410D (type = 5)

I'm still getting i2c write failures. but hey, it works so I'm not gonna touch
anything :)

Oh, and I'm in Sweden (PAL B/G country)

/peter

Peter,

could you share your settings? I've been trying to get this work but
also keep getting the type 4 tuner.
lspci shows:
0000:02:07.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc
iTVC15 MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)
0000:02:09.0 Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc
iTVC16 (CX23416) MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)

So I did:
 options saa7127 i2c_enable=1,-1
 options cx25840 i2c_enable=-1,1
as described in the README but I still get the wrong tuner. Any other
things I need to take care of?

N.
