I agree! I have the composite port working (I think), but would *love*
to get color on my svideo port. could actually think about using it for
mythtv at that point (once I get mythfrontend to stop segfaulting when I
try to watch tv from the card).
If you could be a little more specific about what you changed (files,
etc) and what modprobe.conf options you used (and how you used them -- I
don't even know if my tuner=47 option is done correctly), I'd be happy
to verify this.

Note, I probably wasn't clear in my original post. My changes got the tuner and tuner audio working which is everything I needed. I have been testing on a stand alone system and I have not tried using the card with mythtv yet.
Here is the script I use to load the modules... you need to enter the sleep statements to correct errors initializing the sound channels. The errors are reported in dmesg... this seemed to fix those errors.

modprobe -v i2c-via
sleep 1
modprobe -v videodev
sleep 1
modprobe -v tveeprom
