This has really helped me too...

However, I'm only able to tune to channels >512Mhz.
Channels with a freq of <=288Mhz still produce static.

Actually Not quite sure where the exact cut-off point is, using a frequency 
table from my
local cable company, don't have any channels between 288 and 512 MHz.

Looks as if the VHF_L/VHF_H/UHF selection logic is not 100% yet...

Shouldn't be too hard to fix with the right info.
Does anyone have a datasheet for the FM1216ME MK3???

(I wrote to Philips requesting one, but still awaiting an answer).
