Sure I knew that, but I find it interesting that conexant supports linux
with their mpeg2 encoder IC's when it suits them, see the following

as far as i know these datasheets are confidential, it would have made
things 
much more easier for the developers if they would hava accecc to these 
datasheets :-((

thing - not just the product brief that is available on the conexant web
