Ah, I presume you patched the kernel tuner module, but aren't using the very latest kraxel patch. In the latest kraxel patch, type 54 is a Philips FQ1286, upon which the FQ1236A MK4 defs are based. For simplicity of rebuilding and testing, I've been using the ivtv tuner module, and made the 1236A line up with where it'd be if the patch got to Gerd before much longer.
