Okay.

I'm really confused as to which modules need to load when, and what the
proper sequence and pieces of information need to go into modprobe.conf

I've got the PVR150 NTSC with tuner 50 (model 1045).

I noticed that if I don't have wm8775, cx25840, or tuner loaded before
IVTV, I get an error in dmesg saying these modules can't be loaded.
However... if I do have those modules loaded, I still see the same
dmesg error.

I looked through the lists, and I've seen all kinds of crazy stuff in
there... bash scripts to load the modules with sleep intervals in
between... modprobe.conf examples with --first-time and --ignore-install
in them.

Also, I'm on gentoo with the 2.6.9_r14 kernel, and although tveeprom
shows the tuner identified correctly, ivtv sets the tuner to type = 50
(noTuner). What am i missing there.

If this stuff is all on the wiki, can someone send me a link. I looked,
but I couldn't find it.
