That's just the thing.. I am not setting the tuner type, sorry if I
didn't make this clear earlier.

This has been driving me nuts all evening, it's the first time I am
using knoppmyth, I have checked all startup scripts and config files
but honestly can not find the module setting.

There isn't, this was the first thing I checked :(
If anyone has any ideas on how to troubleshoot this, let me know

I have tried the following : removed all ivtv and tuner modules from
my system, rebooted, did a make install, modprobe ivtv by hand: same
result.

Also tried forcing the tuner to type=55 in modules.conf, same effect.

Thanks for replying.

Kind regards,

Roel
