Just got my PAL PVR500MCE card in the mail. Compiled the latest tarball against 2.6.11-gentoo-r3. I stripped the sticker off the tuner to get some info about the tuner, however the sticker with info gets stuck with the larger sticker on top off it. Anyway reading against the light gives this guess:
3139 147 21611M# FQ1216AME/R H-4 SV11 0450 I'm guessing the FQ1216AME-part is some indicator for the tuner type. However, looking through tuner.h doesn't give a 100% match. using modprobe ivtv ivtv_std=2 (this forces stuff to PAL B/G right?) gives me (commented in between on stuff that sticks out for me): Mar 14 22:17:11 pvr ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== Mar 14 22:17:11 pvr ivtv: version 0.3.2 (i) loading Mar 14 22:17:11 pvr ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.11-gentoo-r3 preempt K7 4KSTACKS gcc-3.3 Mar 14 22:17:11 pvr ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info Mar 14 22:17:11 pvr ivtv: between the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines when Mar 14 22:17:11 pvr ivtv: mailing the ivtv-devel mailinglist.
