I know Axel said one of the HcwMakoA.ROM versions wasn't very good. This is the only significant difference I see between your setup and mine, so trying a different HcwMakoA.ROM is probably worthwhile.
Well, lets try to figure out which are the bad versions.
I used the one from my V2.4 driver CD that came with a PVR-150MCE ordered from Amazon and delivered this week. I've got a type 47 tuner. I've got a size of 13883 and I was getting static that would fade up from black, hold, black, fade up static, etc, etc.

For people that are running 0.3.2i on NTSC PVR-150MCEs and have static, what's the size of your firmware image? Same for people that have NTSC PVR-150MCEs that don't exhibit the static - size of firmware file and the digest fingerprints as shown above.
