| Yeah he had a few newlines missing in there.
Thanks for your updated version. In it, the leading whitespace was a
little odd, but fixable.

| Those are weird errors, nothing has changed in that file....
No idea what's going on. But not today's problem.

Chris said cx25840.c, not cx25840-driver.c.
I just now tried cx25840-driver.c. I got these errors:
/home/hugh/tba/ivtv/ivtv-0.3.2r/driver/cx25840-driver.c:1619: warning:
implicit declaration of function `cx25840_write'
/home/hugh/tba/ivtv/ivtv-0.3.2r/driver/cx25840-driver.c:1620: warning:
implicit declaration of function `cx25840_read'
These functions are defined as inline statics within cx25840.c.
So I'm guessing that cx25840.c was the correct file to be editing
after all.
Still no replication of the assembly errors.
Chris: what LINUX distro and kernel version are you using?
Was my methodolgy of recreating your source code correct?
- fetch http://ivtv.no-ip.info/ivtv-0.3/ivtv-0.3.2r.tgz
- splice into cx25840.c the chunk of code you sent in your message
