Also - could you post your modprobe.conf settings?
I used to have those 'tuner not set messages' until I put 'options ivtv
ivtv_debug=1 tuner=58,58,58,58 tda9887=0,0' into my modprobe.conf although
I'm confused as to why I need 58 repeated or why I need it at all seeing as
the driver seems to detect a type 58 tuner, same as you seem to get.

I have the same card and have similar results (picture but no sound) but I'm
interested in the lines at the end of your dmesg output:

I'm having problems with the video size - seems to always go back to 480x480
and the picture is offset to the right, i.e. right-hand end of the picture
is missing compared to regular TV.
