Ok, I'm on a lead

When this issue first occurred. I set it to record several shows over
night. I think several things kinda dominoed together into a big screw
up.

I came back the next morning and my root directory was FULL 100% of enc
overflow errors. This was compounded with the damaged recording from
night before trying to be commercial flagged

Mythcommflag tried to insert into the recordedmarkup table. Which of
course it couldn't so apparently mysql responded by corrupting the
recordedmarkup.myi file and oldprogram.myi file.

So .. this big top show is all and good. I delete the files, revert
driver and reboot

Well .. the backend starts, and starts. Well when I start a recording,
it starts beating its head on those corrupt tables. It seems to stop
reading the encoding stream after about 10 seconds. Any recordings
stop there and start ... repeating odd really. Well the encoder is
still running I guess. So eventually it runs out of buffers and gives
nearly the same error as before (ie no VBI error before hand).

Now
To test this work of sci-fi out .. I need to figure out how to repair
the mysql database.

Yeah, I agree, it's boggling my mind at the moment, finding some things
that may be a problem, but so far aren't, it's acting like it isn't
reading fast enough, but I'm now trying to figure that out still.

Thanks,
Chris
