OK, here's some more detail. By the way, I'm trying
to get the Mythtv menus on the tv, which is connected to the prv350.
Thanks for the help. 1. Run single X-server to the pc monitor and: - Mythtv plays fine to the pc monitor - Mythtv plays fine to the prv350 tvout - Mythtv menus are on the pc monitor 2. Run a single X-server to the pvr350 and all is fine - Mythtv plays fine to the prv350 tvout - Mythtv menus are on the pvr350 monitor 3. Run separate servers on pc monitor and pvr350 and get: - Failure one: - get nvidia splash screen on pc monitor - get green screen on tv - pc freezes and must be hard reset (ctrl-alt-bksp does not work, ssh from another machine does not work, it's froze) or - Failure two: - both X-servers seem to start - get a loud buzz from the TV - then tv goes black and buzz goes away - then get X-server displays on the tv - The X-server on the tv is not right (icons in the wrong place, looks like it might be double or triple displayed). - If I start mythtv from the X-server on the pc monitor, then play something on the tv, it seems to clear up the X-server on the pvr350. - When I attempt to exit X, sometimes it exits after a long time (30-40 seconds), but usually it freezes the pc. So, in summary: - sometimes it will start, usually it won't - when it does start, it behaves badly - it never exits properly - if it does exit, it won't start again - and the topper - when it freezes, any file that was recently edited will be completely trashed after the hard reset, unless I had done "sync" before starting X.
