Is that so? I think is it nice to embed vbi, even when it is not used during 
livetv or recordings. This allows the user (or others ;-) to view the content 
and toggle subtitles/CC on whenever he/she/they like(s)...

And a driver reload is not necessary (in my case) as a ioctl (similar to 
ivtvctl at the prompt) allows changes on the fly, not?
But perhaps we should move the VBi related setup stuff from myth-setup to the
setup as part of the frontend GUI.
