I looked into this too, because it seemed to take a long time to
load ivtv vs any other kernel driver. I have 2 cards, a PVR-250 and a
PVR-150 using 0.3.5 on kernel 2.6.8-24.14 (SuSE 9.2) takes about 8 seconds.
2 seconds to init PVR-250
6 seconds to init PVR-150
of that, ~4.5 seconds are spent uploading the audio firmware
(HcwMakoA.ROM)
