Results for all the drivers I had time to test so far (all loaded after a warm reboot); these are my module-options: alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 ivtv alias char-major-81-1 ivtv alias char-major-81-2 ivtv alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c options saa7127 i2c_enable=1,-1,-1 options cx25840 i2c_enable=-1,1,1 debug=1 options wm8775 debug=0 options tuner pal=G debug=0 options ivtv ivtv_std=2 tda9887=0 ivtv_debug=1 options tda9887 pal=G debug=0 install ivtv /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ivtv ; /sbin/modprobe ivtv-fb 0.3.5 : all is well, this isn't the driver you're looking for, move along :-) 0.3.5b: audio is oversteered. I also tried with loading the module with no_black_magic=0 but didn't change anything. 0.3.5c: same as b 0.3.5d: audio on 1 channel (with some ticking noises), switching to other channels: no audio 0.3.5e: didn't test it, no audio fixes 0.3.5f (with fixup-patches and qss=0): audio on all channels but with ticking noises.on some channels 0.3.5g (with qss=0): audio on all channels with ticking noises on some channels 0.3.5h (with qss=0): same as 0.3.5g (no audio fixes so as expected) So it looks like the solution lies in qss=0 with the exception that it gives ticking noises on some channels. I'm going back to 0.3.5 as this one gives good audio on all channels. Hope this sheds some light on the recent audio changes made to the driver.
