I have gained a greater understanding of the audio problem in versions since (at least) 0.3.4p, referred to here:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/20342?#20342

and here:

http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/20678?#20678

The audio recording from a PVR-500 is being substantially overdriven at the same recording volume setting that a PVR-250 records at 'normal' volume. The difference between the two cards is probably at least 8 db, maybe 10 db. Myth doesn't have per-card adjustments, so backing off on the recording volume in the recording profile sufficiently to prevent overdriving the PVR-500 leaves the PVR-250 recording volume too quiet to be usable.

This problem was not present in 0.3.2w. I don't know when it was introduced.

This addes the s-video patch from Tyler, will re-init the cx25840 input

digitzer on/off again.
