I am also running into this on a sporadic basis. I am using a PVR350,
and I have had it working, but after a lockup and reboot, live tv dies
after a few seconds with only the exact errors you quote below for
troubleshooting.

I thought that this had to do with the saa7127 module loading at the
wrong place with respect to ivtv - but have since been unable to effect
a change.

If you come up with anything please let me know :)

Kindest Regards,

Edward

Subject: [ivtv-devel] Bad socket

Got a FC3 install with a PVR250 the documentation for ivtv gives an
"options
cardtype=1" which I put in my /etc/modprobe.conf
The card is found but as a PVR150 if I put "options cardtype=2"
in /etc/modprobe.conf it is recognised as a PVR250
but I get this error when I try to watch "Live TV"

ivtv firmware version 2:1.8a-4.at

Any thoughts
