Can't help you there. I've got a 350 and 2 150MCE's. All work fine
after removing that line. I thought the 500 was detected as 2 150's so
I would have thought it would be the same.
Have you tried setting ACFG_DIS=0 with cx25840ctl for all your cards?
Maybe that "hack" could work for you.
