I have checked the video capture card to verify that it works and was able to get it working on Windows XP. With Linux as my OS of choice, the windows configuration only lasted long enough to test the card. SUSE is my OS of choice and until now I have not had any problems installing and using anything I've tried in Linux. I must admit that installing that video capture card has been a humbling experience. Has anyone had any success with a similar install? Help I am not able to get anything but static from my video capture card, Hauppauge PVR 500MCE. I am using the ivtv-0.3.6n driver, and have tried to use several others to no avail. SUSE 9.3, I've tried both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions. I have also tried it on two different computer, both are AMD 64's. I'm at a loss here for where to go next.
