Well, i installed the ivtv-radio, as seen below; however, still no sound. when I do
xxxxivtv]# ivtv-radio -f 90.5 set to freq 90.50 Running: aplay -f dat < /dev/video24 Playing raw data 'stdin' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 48000 Hz, Stereo No radio sound, but there is a faint hum that goes away on Ctrl+C. And dmesg says: ivtv: Allocate DMA encoder PCM audio stream: 455 x 4608 buffers (2048KB total) ivtv: Setup VBI API header 0x0000bd0d pkts 1 buffs 4 ln 24 sz 1456 ivtv: Setup VBI start 0x002fea04 frames 4 fpi 1 lines 0x000000f1 saa7115: decoder disable output saa7115: decoder enable output saa7115: decoder disable output ivtv: Setting audio matrix to input 3, output 1 saa7115: decoder enable output Also -- may or not be the cause of the above -- "cat /dev/video | xine stdin:/ " again gives me only snow, regardless of what channel i tune into (feeding cable broadcast). The command gave me proper video before I installed and used ivtv-radio (not 100% sure of the cause and effect, though) tia andrew On Sat, Jul 02, 2005 at 10:23:14PM -0400, Andrew wrote: > On Sat, Jul 02, 2005 at 09:09:15PM -0400, Andrew wrote: > > On Sat, Jul 02, 2005 at 01:39:57PM -0500, Adam Forsyth wrote: > > > Use the ivtv-radio program to tune the radio.
