No, it does- but that magic is just a manual write to the tda9887, and
Bryan intended that patch to be a test to see if that really was the
source of your problem.
Anyways, without thr patch I get no picture, without the "port1=0
port2=0" I get sound on some channels only.
I guess this isn't really solved after all.
Oh, well :-( I'll give it another go with no patch, cold boot, no
params to tda9887 in various combinations once again.
I have since Bryans fixup reinstalled completely on a new disk, using
Mandrake 10.2 and cleaned up all aspects of my installations.
I'll let you know how that turns out.
