Michael!!! You've made a friend. You had two lines in the modprobe.conf.local file that I didn't have. I put them in and BEHOLD I have video and sound on one of the inputs. The other input is not connected to a cable but it still getting a picture. we'll see what happens wtih the sound after a cable is connected.
