Installed the ivtv-0.3.7g mandriva rpm from cooker for 2005LE and my
PVR250 card. The utils directory was apparently not part of the package.
Removed the rpm. Downloaded the .tgz file. Unpacked the the tarball. cd
to driver directory per install instructions and got the following error:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] driver]$ make
make CONFIG_VIDEO_IVTV=m -C /lib/modules/2.6.11-12mdk/build
M=/home/gary/src/ivtv-0.3.7g/driver modules
make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.11-12mdk/build: No such file or directory. Stop.
make: *** [all] Error 2

Tried the quick install:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] ivtv-0.3.7g]$ su
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ivtv-0.3.7g]# make install
make -C driver install
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/gary/src/ivtv-0.3.7g/driver'

I do have the following file probably set up by mandriva and never
deleted when the rpm was uninstalled.

/lib/modules/2.6.11-12mdk/kernel/3rdparty/ivtv

Tried to install pvr48wdm with the following results.

I do have an older version of file: /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-dec.bin and
ivtv-fw-enc.bin. Modified May 8 04.

"make -C utils install" appeared to work. I am still trying to get ptune
to work correctly.

I have ptune-ui.pl in my /usr/lib/ivtv directory. It is linked to my
desktop by a short file;

#!/bin/sh
/usr/lib/ivtv/ptune-ui.pl
mplayer /dev/video0

It worked fine before .7g. Now when I click on the desktop icon I get
the channel selector but no mplayer. I then quit the selector and
mplayer starts. I then reclick the icon and the channel selector comes
on and works.

At this point I am completely lost and probably should go back to 0.2.
However I am determined to get it to work.

Suggestions plz.

I am going to tell mandriva about the lack of utils directory in the rpm.

Thanks,

Gary
