Until now, the binary of the xdriver was included in the ivtv package.
While this was obviously not ideal, it had one benefit in that always
the right version of xdriver was used with the given version of ivtv.
Now that ivtv and xdriver are decoupled, I was wondering if there is
some mechanism to prevent versions mismatches. For example, does xdriver
check for the versions of ivtv it needs? Or is the API between them
stable enough that this is no longer a concern?
