I had asked this a few months ago and I don't believe that I ever saw any replies. Since ivtv is trying to autodetect / autoconfigure as much as possible, is it possible to hardcode the tuner type for the M179 to be "2"? I have 3 M179's and they're all tuner 2; I'm not sure that the M179 was ever released outside the US thereby requiring a some other tuner configuration...
