I've been running my mythtv Epia M10000 + PVR-350 without an issue for months.
Now I want to try the TV output.

I've spent 5 hours trying to setup up the box without luck last week-end.

So before I try again, I would like some recommendation.

My distrib is Debian unstable.

I still run XFree 4.4 (didn't update to x.org yet).
I tried with ivtv 0.3.6f (but I also tried 0.3.8). Both of them work
when displaying on Computer Screen.
Kernel is 2.6.11.x

When using the PVR-350 output I wasn't able to get anything displayed
on the screen. When using the EPIA output I managed to get something
displayed but it was in no way usable (no colors, flickering). I guess
I didn't get my frequencies correct. The TV is a PAL 100 Hz

Each time I restarted X with both my PVR-350 output and my screen
connected, I lost my computer screen output, as if the output had been
shut down. As the TV didn't displayed anything, I had to reboot the
box (I don't remember rebooting X being able to solve the issue, but I
didn't try unloading the module before doing that).

First advice I would like to get is whether to use the EPIA TV output
or the PVR-350 one. I believe that using the PVR 350 output would
require me less upgrade work (I probably only have to fiddle with the
driver). Quality should also be better, right?

But what about stability?

I am not sending yet any dmesg output nor XFree output until I take
that decision.

Cheers,

Jerome
