the console gets blanked when X starts. There may be
some commands you can run to change that behavior, but
i'm not sure.

I have an epia m10k, and i run a separate X server for
the cle266/motherboard and that works OK.
(commandline:

/usr/X11R6/bin/X -audit 0 -layout "DVD Layout" :1 &

where i have a second serverlayout section of my X
config that points to the epia stuff

)

I've found that dvd's decode OK in software going out
the epia onboard using xv. I couldn't get the XvMC
stuff working, but it's OK.
