Questions:
1) It happens only with your PVR150, right?
2) Which channels give the problem? And more specific: from which country?
I'm pretty sure it's related to the cx25840 autodetect settings and not to any
firmware versions. Doesn't do any harm to try, though, if only to rule out
that approach.
