Hello,

I have an Fedora core 4 installation with an hauppage PVR500 installed
in my system. The ivtv driver is loading well (i think) but it is
impossible for me to tune to a frequency (and see something which is
oke). Here the /var/log/messages file :

This is really bizarre. tveeprom is the ivtv version, and yet it does not identify the model and serial number of the PVR card. I've never seen that before.

This is what the first tuner should have looked like. Not sure why this line is missing from the first tuner.

When i'm tuning the PVR to a channel (ivtvctl -d /dev/video0 -p 6 -r
216) and then cat /dev/video0 /tmp/video0.mpg this will only give noise
and a little bit of the frequency i tuned on.

Try this with the second tuner : use video1 instead of video0 and see what results you get. You might also try other inputs instead of just number 6 - I'm not sure which input is the tv tuner on your model. If the second tuner works, you might have to get this on the devel list.
