Hi All,
It was the best of times, it was the worst of
times...today I added a recently-acquired PVR-250 to
my Knoppmyth machine (yay! Two 250s and a 350 for
expanded viewing options). It worked fine under
Knoppmyth R5A16.
Then, I upgraded to R5A26 - almost everything is
fan-frickin'-tastic. However, I seem to have broken
my PVR-350. It tunes only static, and gives me NO
audio output for Live TV or for previously-recorded
shows. I do get audio from MythMusic and Xine, and
the other tuners are recording fine, so it appears to
be 350-specific. *Video* out of the 350 is fine.
I've tried to follow the wiki's troubleshooting steps.
Here is what I have done and what I am running, so
far as I can tell:
1) ivtvctl -V
version = 0x00000400 (0.4.0)
comment = (tagged release)
cardnr = 0
hw_flags = 9e
ivtv -P confirms that it is set to the tuner (input
= 4)
2) md5sum /lib/modules/ivtv-fw-*
305dba74bbe5905447add8883f3ecb68
/lib/modules/ivtv-fw-dec.bin
d85cb08382395390dc95ac6ebc2205f9
/lib/modules/ivtv-fw-enc.bin
3) /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv has had the "alias
char-major-81 videodev" line commented out.
4) I let the machine sit cold for a couple minutes
after re-installing the firmware and after just about
every other change.
I am flummoxed, and even though I chose this afternoon
for the upgrade (while my lovely wife was away at
practice), alas it is now evening and she is home,
looking at me with pleading eyes as Law & Order:
Criminal Intent awaits her viewing...
