First go back to 0.4.0 and see if sound returns. Then just replace the 
non-ivtv modules one by one (tuner, tda9887, tveeprom, msp3400) and 
lastly ivtv itself.

Playing back old recordings (that are known to contain sound) does 
produce sound, I assume?
