I have been trying to set up mythtv for 3 weeks. Google is sick
of hearing from me.
I have made quite a lot of progress, but am now stuck, and badly
need some help.

I am running Knoppmyth R5A26.iso, with came with ivtv 0.4.0, on a
P4, 3.2GHz, 1MB RAM
Tuner is PVR-150 (with remote).
I am in europe-west (London) & my TV system is PAL.

Knoppmyth seems to be set up OK, it has the channel listings
etc., but I am not using it as I cannot even get a watchable
picture from the command line:

mplayer /dev/video0
shows a very noisy picture (video just discernable on one
channel), sound is OK after I ran alsaconfig as root.
I have tried different inputs (No 6 seems to be the tuner), and
also the svideo input (I get nothing from the svideo input).
I can use ptune-ui.pl to change channels (but they are bad
pictures, if at all)
I cannot use ivtvctl -r frequency to change channels, although
its output says "channel changed to 26, freq = '511250', nothing
changes in the mplayer window.

The above looks OK to me, but I see the bttv module is being
loaded - I thought this was not needed for this card(?). Is this
a cause of conflicts? I tried commenting out bttv from my
/etc/modules file & rebooting, but it is still being loaded.

Any suggestions?
Thanks.
