Why should the average user care which modules are necessary for  
which cards?  The devel types would of course want to know, but they  
could also easily find or figure it out.  As far as normal users are  
concerned, I don't think they really care.  I know I don't, and I  
participate here quite heavily.

What I really answer a lot is which modules exist in both the kernel  
and ivtv trees currently.  My standard answer to most questions is to  
verify that the modules are loading from where the user expects them  
to.  That was actually why I posted the list of 4 modules to begin  
with (tuner, tveeprom, msp3400, tda9887) - so the user could verify  
that they were loading from the correct tree.  Unfortunately, it was  
misunderstood that I was posting a definitive list of the only  
modules necessary for that particular card model.
