After some fiddling around, I was able to compile and install ivtv
0.4.1. I run kernel 2.4.27. Testing with cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg
works like a charm, with all channels I tried via ivtv-tune. So I run
mythtv-setup and setup my WinTV-PVR 150 card. When I run mythbackend,
I just happened to run it when it was supposed to be recording a show.
However, below is the output of that attempt. The SetColourAttribute
error is causing the recording to fail. Any ideas what this means?
Also below I've attached a copy of my syslog after "modprobe ivtv".
I'm not sure how to handle the hotplug error noted in there, as sysfs
is only going to work on a 2.6 kernel, from my understanding. I'd
remove the hotplug package altogether, as 0.4.1 docs note that it will
fall back on the firmware loading mechanism used in 0.4.0 if hotplug
is not found, but I use it for my digital camera... Any ideas?

Mike
