I rebooted the m/c and I didn't see any errors in demsg output this time around. I have not tried the video capture yet. I gues that's after work today :)

I am using Ubuntu and the latest kernel it got me was 2.6.12-10 after all the updates and upgrade.

How do I enable BT848 support?

2.6.15 and 0.4.1 play *very* nicely together. (although with a PVR-350 you
