I am following the firmware guide to the letter, and I am still having
issues. I am using ivtv-0.4.2 on Gentoo.

/etc/hotplug/firmware.agent has FIRMWARE_DIR=/lib/firmware

# ls /lib/firmware
v4l-cx2341x-dec.fw v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw v4l-cx2341x-init.mpg
v4l-cx25840.fw

It is a brand new PVR and everything seems to work from dmesg. modprobe
ivtv shows now errors, but dmesg does:

I've tried copying the firmware files to every location I can find and
yet the problem persists. Any suggestions?
