I have a PVR-500 with Samsung TCPN 2121P30A tuner. Of the modules
where ivtv and the stock kernel conflict, what is the current status
for whether to pick the ivtv or stock kernel ones?

I am currently running linux-2.6.15.2 compiled from source (Ubuntu
Breezy), and ivtv-0.4.2 (tagged release).

The linux tveeprom lacks support for the Samsung tuner. The "current"
(but dated for ivtv-0.4.0) ivtv documentation at ivtvdriver.org says
that the ivtv tveeprom can't support DVB cards (I also have two pcHDTV
HD-3000 cards in the system). Is this still the case for ivtv-0.4.2? I
admit I have not tried just plugging in the ivtv drivers in place to
see what happens.

Do I have any options at getting the HD3k and PVR-500 cards to
peacefully co-exist (and work)? Can the HD-3000 cards use the ivtv
tveeprom code now? Or do I have to wait?

Thanks,
--Rob
