I am seeing some of these problems also. I have a machine with three pvr-150s in it that works great. If I replace those with two pvr-500s that I have I see problems. I have not done as thorough of a test as below but channel 45 always has diagonal lines through it. I agree that overall the quality is better on the 150s. Sound seems unreliable. I can go to a channel and it will sound fine (although lower than the 150) but if I switch to another channel and switch back the sound may almost go away. I have not seen a large difference between the two tuners. I am using 4.3 ATRPMS packages on FC4 2.6.15. I am using Mythtv .18 but the problems appear when simply using mplayer and ivtv-tune. Right now I am forced to put the 150s back in because I am using them.
