When I remove everything of ivtv in modprobe.conf, remove all the loaded modules that I loaded manually and then load ivtv i get this dmesg: ivtv: ==================== START INIT IVTV ==================== ivtv: version 0.4.2 (tagged release) loading ivtv: Linux version: 2.6.14-ck8-r2 SMP gcc-3.4 ivtv: In case of problems please include the debug info between ivtv: the START INIT IVTV and END INIT IVTV lines, along with ivtv: any module options, when mailing the ivtv-users mailinglist. ivtv0: Autodetected WinTV PVR 150 card (cx23416 based) ivtv0: Failed to load module tveeprom ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x50 not found for command 0x0! ivtv0: Error -19 reading Hauppauge eeprom. ivtv0: Possible causes: the tveeprom module was not loaded, or ivtv0: the eeprom kernel module was loaded before the tveeprom module. ivtv0: Failed to load module tuner ivtv0: Failed to load module cx25840 ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc008561c! ivtv0: Failed to load module wm8775 ivtv0: Failed to load module tda9887 ivtv0: Could not detect tuner standard, defaulting to NTSC. ivtv0: loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (262144 bytes) ivtv0: Encoder revision: 0x02050032 ivtv0: Allocate DMA encoder MPEG stream: 128 x 32768 buffers (4096KB total) ivtv0: Allocate DMA encoder YUV stream: 194 x 10800 buffers (2048KB total) ivtv0: Allocate DMA encoder VBI stream: 120 x 17472 buffers (2048KB total) ivtv0: Allocate DMA encoder PCM audio stream: 455 x 4608 buffers (2048KB total) ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40085618! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc0045627! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x1b not found for command 0x40046d11! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40046d11! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x00 not found for command 0x40085618! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40085618! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc008561c! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40045613! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x00 not found for command 0x402c5639! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x1b not found for command 0x402c5639! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x402c5639! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40045612! ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc008561c! ivtv0: Initialized WinTV PVR 150, card #0 ivtv: ====================== NEXT CARD ====================== ivtv1: Autodetected WinTV PVR 150 card (cx23416 based) ivtv1: Failed to load module tveeprom ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x50 not found for command 0x0! ivtv1: Error -19 reading Hauppauge eeprom. ivtv1: Possible causes: the tveeprom module was not loaded, or ivtv1: the eeprom kernel module was loaded before the tveeprom module. ivtv1: Failed to load module tuner ivtv1: Failed to load module cx25840 ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc008561c! ivtv1: Failed to load module wm8775 ivtv1: Failed to load module tda9887 ivtv1: loaded v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw firmware (262144 bytes) ivtv1: Encoder revision: 0x02050032 ivtv1: Allocate DMA encoder MPEG stream: 128 x 32768 buffers (4096KB total) ivtv1: Allocate DMA encoder YUV stream: 194 x 10800 buffers (2048KB total) ivtv1: Allocate DMA encoder VBI stream: 120 x 17472 buffers (2048KB total) ivtv1: Allocate DMA encoder PCM audio stream: 455 x 4608 buffers (2048KB total) ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40085618! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc0045627! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x1b not found for command 0x40046d11! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40046d11! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x00 not found for command 0x40085618! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40085618! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc008561c! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40045613! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x00 not found for command 0x402c5639! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x1b not found for command 0x402c5639! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x402c5639! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0x40045612! ivtv1 warning: i2c client addr: 0x44 not found for command 0xc008561c! ivtv1: Initialized WinTV PVR 150, card #1 ivtv: ==================== END INIT IVTV ==================== So I still have to load all the modules manually. I'm using 0.4.2 because they didn't made a new package for portage yet. Besides, I tried to install 0.4.3 by compiling it myself but that didn't work either. I've got this in /etc/modules.d/ivtv: alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 ivtv alias char-major-81-1 ivtv options ivtv ivtv_std=0,0 tuner=55,55 tda9887=0,0 ivtv_debug=1,1 options tda9887 port1=0 port2=0 options tuner type=22 pal=L I followed at least 3 howto's and I'm mixing all that stuff so I don't know what is should set in the configuration files anymore. I followed the gentoo-wiki: http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_PVR_500_Setup and the normal ivtvdriver.org wiki. I don't get all those errors on mandriva, it works fine there. _______________________________________________ ivtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://ivtvdriver.org/mailman/listinfo/ivtv-users
