Is hotplug enabled in your kernel? The tveeprom error also suggests that
a tveeprom module from ivtv got installed somehow. For 2.6.15 it is
recommended to use the supporting i2c modules from the kernel instead
of from ivtv. You get them build by enabling the config items
CONFIG_VIDEO_AUDIO_DECODER and CONFIG_VIDEO_DECODER.
